The Grant is valued at €5,000 and in the vast majority of cases, this is more than enough to cover the Lead replacement cost, so there is No Cost to the Home Owner !

Grant Application and Works Process

Lead Replacement Ireland will:

Step 1

Carry out a Free Survey to establish if the water pipe to your home is made from Lead.

Step 2

Provide you with Proof of the presence of Lead (required for the Grant Application).

Step 3

Issue a quotation and assist with the Grant Application paperwork to your Local City or County Council (who administer the Grant).

Step 4

Carry out the Lead Replacement work with a new Polyethylene Pipe in a prompt and neat manner. All work is done in compliance with Uisce Eireann Specifications.

The Lead Replacement will often result in much improved water pressure in your home.
